M08_03_neg_z_1D_no_C

Optical and NIR spectral series of the ARTIS NLTE radiative transfer simulation for the 1D ejecta model representative of the negative z direction in the M08_03 3D double detonation explosion model of Gronow et al. (2021) in which the line opacity of carbon (C) has been omitted. Comparing this with the full model spectra series (M08_03_neg_z_1D) illustrates the impact of C absorption in the simulation. The spectra series is made up of all spectra which appear for this model in Callan et al. (2025) Figures 2, 3 and A1.

M08_03_neg_z_1D_no_C

  • Description: Optical and NIR spectral time series file format: Table with 1+n columns and 1+m lines specifying the spectral time series for n epochs on m wavelength bins. -The first line defines the time of the n epochs for which spectra have been calculated (time in days relative to B-band peak which occurs at 16.8 days after explosion, the first 0.00 is a dummy value). -The following m lines contain the fluxes for the various time steps for a given wavelength bin. The first column gives the wavelength in A, followed by n columns giving the fluxes (in units of erg/cm^2/s/A assuming a distance of 1 MPc). Comparing this model (M08_03_neg_z_1D_no_C) with the full model spectra series (M08_03_neg_z_1D) illustrates the impact of carbon absorption in the simulation. The spectral series is made up of all the spectra which appear for this model in Callan et al. (2025) Figure 3.
